Welcome to King David School

A message from the Headteacher

King David School is a jewel in the crown of the Birmingham Jewish community. Its outstanding standards in the secular curriculum, the vibrant ethos and integration of Orthodox Jewish values, and the positive atmosphere of co-operation and harmony, all set in the context of a multi-cultural school in the heart of Britain's second city, make it a unique example for education, and indeed, society itself.

The unprecedented crisis from the Covid-19 pandemic has hit us all hard. It is at times like this, that I am grateful to be part of the wonderful community around King David School. Staff, parents and the children have worked together, to protect ourselves and others, give help where we can, and to keep everyone safe.

Now in January 2021 we find ourselves in a second major lockdown, with school closed to most pupils. The Nursery class is still open, and we have four small 'bubbles' of the children of key worker children, but the majority of children and teachers are working at home. This time we have in place a virtual learning platform, using Google Classroom, so education can continue. Class teachers deliver live lessons every morning, and set a range of activities for the rest of the day. Children also have weekly lessons with their RE and Hebrew teachers.

The best way to contact the school is through This email address is being protected from spambots. You can also find out further information in the Policies section of this website, including the most recent Covid-19 Risk Assessment.

May HaShem protect everyone and keep us all safe.
