Nursery 23rd October 2020

We have have come to the end of our first half term in Nursery. During this half term, we have been learning all about ourselves.

Over the half term break, can you please practise counting to 5 and showing the correct number of fingers to represent these numbers.  Look at the images below and count how many fingers are shown. Please keep practising your counting using numbots.

This week we have been reinforcing the difference between the number 1 and 2. Can you go on a number hunt to find the numbers 1 and 2 in the environment. Can you collect 2 of different items and put them on a plate. Please share your photos with us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

In phonics, we have been learning to recognise, say and form the letter a. I have attached a sheet below for you to use to reinforce the letter formation. Around the apple and down the leaf. Please ask your child to use their finger to trace over the letter a. They could form the a in flour, sand, rice, sugar or shaving foam. They could also use a paint brush and water to paint an a outside on the ground or on the wall.

This week, we have read the story of 'We're going on a Bear hunt.' Can your child recall any of the events that happened in the story? You may wish to refresh their memory of the story using this link.

Have a lovely half term
