Welcome Back

Welcome back to a new school year. I am looking forward to getting to know you all during the next few weeks. We have a lot of festival days coming up so it might take a while to get to know all the faces and families - and to learn new names!

Coming up, we have the bullying exhibition in the hall at 3pm tomorrow and I am sure all classes are looking forward to sharing what we have all been doing this week.

Termly letters will be coming home soon, so please check bags and pockets for these as it gives you an idea of the curriculum for this term. Look out for those festival days on the website too.

Vicious Volcanoes

This week in English, children wrote a descriptive poem all about volcanoes. Children used a range of adjectives to describe an erupting volcano.

In PSCHE we looked at different types of phobias. Children explored how to overcome the fear of taking injections. In groups children role played a scene at a doctor’s surgery and looked at how to remain calm. Children also created some ‘Top Tips’.

  • Close your eyes and count to ten.
  • Listen to music to distract you.

Have a great weekend!

Tote Bags Finished Product

First we all had to stitch the edge of our bags. After, we stitched the main bit of our bag together. Then we sewed the handles on to the main body of the bag. Next we sketched our molar art, I chose to draw a butterfly. The bags look really pretty and are very handy! I look forward to using my bag this summer.
