Parent Forum

The Parent Forum at King David Primary School & Nursery in Birmingham serves as a vital bridge between school leadership and the parent community. Situated in Moseley, this voluntary-aided Orthodox Jewish school features a uniquely diverse student body where children of multiple faiths—predominantly Jewish and Muslim—learn side-by-side. In this multicultural environment, the King David Parent Forum offers a collaborative space for parents to engage directly with school policies, share diverse perspectives, and actively support the school’s core values of kindness, family, and community. 
The forum is structured around class representatives who gather views from fellow parents to present at scheduled meetings. It acts as a consultative body rather than a decision-making entity, allowing the headteacher and governors to gather feedback on operational updates, curriculum changes, and community initiatives. Parents use this platform to discuss critical day-to-day topics, such as pupil wellbeing, local authority wraparound care surveys, and adjustments to school menus. 
By fostering open dialogue, the forum ensures transparency and helps maintain strong community cohesion, particularly when navigating the logistical and cultural complexities of an interfaith pupil base.
